To potential vendors:
The Taftville Fire Department is pleased to announce that we will be hosting the
134th Annual CT State Firefighters Convention & Parade, September 15-17,
2017. This will be the First (1st) time in 109 years that any part of Norwich has
hosted this event. It also marks the 100th Anniversary of the Taftville Fire
The Convention Meeting will be held at Kelly Middle School, 25 Mahan Drive,
Norwich, CT on Saturday, September 16, 2017. The doors to this school will be
opened for Vendors at 7:30 am, as the Firefighters will begin to arrive around
8am. The Vendor area will be open until approximately 2 pm.
There were over 300 Fire Departments across Connecticut that was invited to
attend this 3 day event. Because of the 100th Anniversary, we are anticipating a
larger than normal attendance for the Convention Meeting portion, minimally.
Adding to the potential larger attendance, we are pleased to announce that we
have reserved, and will be in attendance, the Stephen Siller Foundation - 9/11
Mobile Exhibit Trailer for anyone to see. This exhibit is a mobile exhibit with
artifacts from Ground Zero in New York, along with FDNY members whom were
there during this horrific incident. This exhibit will be located at the Wequonnoc
School across from the Taftville Fire Station
Enclosed you will find a Vendor Application Form. If you are interested, please fill
out the Form completely, return to the address stated on the Form along with the
respective fees. All Forms MUST BE RETURNED NO LATER THAN AUGUST 15,
2017. IF FEE'S DO NOT ACCOMPANY THE FORM, YOUR SPOT WILL NOT BE
HELD UNTIL FEE'S ARE RECEIVED.
