| Two Fires in Five Hours June 27, 2009 - The day started at 03:00hrs with a FAST team activation to the town of Griswold for a fully involved house fire. Car-28 and ET-22 with a crew 6 responded as the FAST team and assisted crews from Griswold, Voluntown, Jewett City and Lisbon, even with the best efforts of those on scene the house was a total loss. The second fire came in at 8:13hrs for a fire in a commercial seafood store in the Greenville section of Norwich. Norwich,Taftville,Yantic, and Tribal FAST crews worked to open up the building and extinguished the fire. Both fire are under investigation by proper town authorities. |
