| Engine Assignment to Jewett City Tanker Rollover Jan 8, 2008 - Around 12:45hrs, The Jewett City & Griswold fire departments were dispatched to a propane tanker rollover at Rt-138 at I-395. Jewett City units arrived to find a propane tanker truck on its side carring 9,000 gals of liquid propane. A engine assignment was requested from Taftville as was Poquotonock, Plainfield, Baltiic, Groton Subbase Haz-Mat team, State DOT,DEP, & CSP. The incident took a total of 7 hours to control. |
