| FAST team assists in Lisbon House Fire May 13, 2009 - Just before 3pm, The Lisbon fire department with assistance from Occum and Taftville FAST were dispatched to Sullivan Rd for a house fire. Lisbon units arrived to find fire showing from the single story ranch home. Lisbon units was quickly joined by engines from Occum and Taftville. All three department worked quickly to extinguish the fire but not after the fire had caused extensive damage to the home. Crews effort were hampered as the first floor had been burnt away and crews had to use alternative means of attacking the fire. All occupants of the home were safely out but sadly a dog and cat perished in the fire. The Lisbon and State FMO are investigating. |
