| Taftville responds to Yantic house fire November 12, 2009 - Around 17:00hrs the Yantic FD was dispatched to Lafayette ST for a house fire. Crews arrived and found a 2.5 stry home 30% involved in fire. Passersby were able to pull the home occupant from the fire and first responding firefighters performed CPR on the occupant who was transported to Backus hospital. 18 Taftville firefighters joined Yantic firefighters on the scene along the Mohegan Tribal FAST and additional engine crews from Bozrah and Laurel Hill. Two dogs also succumb from the fire. The Norwich FMO, Norwich PD and State FMO's are jointly investigating. |
