Friday, September 15, 2017 –

9/11 Trailer
at approximately 4pm the 9/11 Stiller Trailer arrives at
Wequonnoc School on Providence St

Irregulars Meeting & Dinner
at the Taftville Fire Station
134 Providence St, Taftville
Starts at 7 pm.

Saturday, September 16, 2017 –

Convention Meeting and Vendors
Kelly Middle School, 25 Mahan Drive, Norwich.
Doors open at 8 am, Vendors open to public,
Meeting will commence at 10:30am
Convention meeting ends by 2 pm

Presidents Luncheon
at the Yantic Fire Engine Co#1
Willimantic Rd, Yantic
immediately following the Convention Meeting.
Luncheon includes food, water and soda.

Sunday September 17, 2017 –

Morning Breakfast
Breakfast at Sacred Heart Parish life Center
behind Taftville fire station 7am -10am
Adults $8 Kids $6

Road Closures

Roads around Taftville patrade route and North side close at
11:15am. Once road closures are in effect no traffic will be
allowed. Roads will be open upon the conclusion of the
firefighters parade

Convention Parade
Parade begins at 12 noon. Line up starts at 8 am
Food will be available to parade participants.
Beer garden for parade participants ONLY (21 & over).
All those over 21 will have wrist bands & limited tickets to
use.
After Parade a Ceremony, Awards & trophys in field behind
Taftville Fire Station

2017 Connecticut State Firefighters Convention

Siller Family 9/11 Exhibit

The Taftville Fire Department recently held the 134th Annual
Connecticut Firefighter Associations Convention on September
15-17, 2017. The three day event was one of the largest
firefighter event in the Taftville/Norwich area in 109 years. . This
event was in conjunction with the department's 100th
anniversary. The weekend took 3 years to plan and took roughly
100 people and multiple agencies and sponsors to produce to
make this a successful event for not only the department, but for
Norwich as a whole. We would like to thank you to our local

The 2017 CT State Firefighters Convention Committee is pleased
to announce that Siller Family 9/11 NEVER FORGET mobile exhibit
will be available for the Convention Weekend, September 16th &
17th. We would like to take this opportunity to give a BIG THANK
YOU to Adam L Miclette for suggesting, pursuing and acquiring this
fantastic attraction. This will be FREE to anyone whom wishes to
go through it. Great Job Adam !!
